" If you're hoping to enroll your little (or not-so-little) one(s) in a program where they learn about their own ecological system: self, family, community, beliefs, values, and their place in this universe, Rad Roots is--without a doubt--the place for your child. Prior to enrolling my daughter, I was intrigued by Ms. Rin's curriculum (and her own personal background!). I've heard it said, "Before we ever put a pencil in a child's hand, those hands should dig, climb, press, pull, squish, twist and pinch in a wide array of environments and with a variety of materials." Ms. Rin's philosophies promote physical, emotional, social and cognitive development through experiential play and exploration. My understanding of, and appreciation for, nature school has been strengthened exponentially while my daughter is thoroughly enjoying herself, nature school itself, her new pals, and of course, Ms. Rin. By fostering the development of self-regulation, self-reflection, and self-direction, Rad Roots builds a solid foundation for children wherein they can grow freely with enthusiasm and a sense of security. Sharing in the joy my daughter experiences at Rad Roots has made my heart explode; she is thriving, thanks to Ms. Rin's compassion, understanding, love and support."
